Time to become familiar
Our plan is for a primary educator to get to know your family over time. We would want to understand the routines and small details that help your child feel comfortable.
IN DEVELOPMENT · THE HILLS, NSW
Early education that begins with your child and your family.
We’re planning a service for children from birth to five in Sydney’s Hills District. A qualified educator would come to your home, get to know your child and plan learning around their interests, routines and stage of development.
One child · one 3.5-hour block each week · 48 service weeks / 12 instalments · incl. GST
Proposed for Sydney’s Hills District. No place or launch date is being offered.
Play and learning

THE OLIVEBOURNE IDEA
Getting to know your child comes first. We want to understand what interests them and what helps them feel settled, so we can plan learning that makes sense for them at home.
That would begin with listening to you and noticing how your child likes to play. Our plan is for qualified, employed educators to build on that understanding through a regular weekly session. The team and service arrangements are still being developed.
Our plan is for a primary educator to get to know your family over time. We would want to understand the routines and small details that help your child feel comfortable.
The learning plan would be guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and your child’s interests. It would be reviewed as their play, understanding and confidence change.
We plan to share educator-reviewed notes and make time for conversations with you. What you notice at home would help inform the learning plan too.
BUILT AROUND HOME
A regular session would allow time to settle in, follow your child’s interests and talk with you about the day.
Begin with how your child is feeling and the routines that are familiar to them.
Make time for the play your child chooses, alongside experiences planned with their learning in mind.
Share what the educator noticed and hear what you would like them to know for next time.
CLEAR FROM THE BEGINNING
Our proposed regular-care model starts from $2,786 per month, including GST, for one child with one 3.5-hour block each week. It is based on 48 service weeks divided into 12 equal prepaid monthly instalments. The proposed service is for regular care rather than casual one-off bookings.
The underlying rate is $199/hour for one child, plus $49.75/hour per additional child. A proposed two-child share between two families who already know each other would be $3,482.50/month in total, or $1,741.25 per family for one weekly 3.5-hour block. Shared care remains subject to regulatory, safety and operating review.
Indicative pricing. Final total confirmed before booking. Proposed payment date: the 15th of the month before the service month. No Child Care Subsidy has been applied.

THE PROPOSED PAID PATHWAY
The proposed first step is a $250 waitlist application and initial assessment. It would help us understand your child and the care you are looking for. The questions and reports would lead into consideration of a suitable educator and the days and hours your family needs.
This would be a separate assessment fee, not a deposit or a credit against care fees. Paying would not guarantee a place, educator match, requested times or start date. We still need to confirm the exact reports, delivery timing, privacy arrangements and refund terms, including whether the later detailed assessment is included in the fee. These details would be clear before you are asked to pay.
No card details, payment or child information are accepted in this prototype.
Read what the $250 application would include, when the assessment would be delivered and the refund terms before deciding whether to pay.
After payment through an approved process, you would answer 14 initial questions to begin the assessment.
You would receive an initial assessment report before moving to the more detailed questions.
The next 30 questions would be collected through a separate secure intake. They would inform a detailed report and consideration of your child’s needs and your requested care times.
We would then consider an educator match and your specified availability. A place could only be offered if the match, required checks and service arrangements were suitable and ready. Your application would not reserve care.
OPTIONAL · FREE DEMAND RESEARCH
A separate, free expression of interest could help us understand what local families are looking for. It would be optional and would not commit you to anything. It would not put your family on the paid waitlist or replace the proposed $250 application and assessment.

QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE
Not yet. This page is a draft for you to review. Applications, enquiries, bookings and payments are not open, and a start date has not been confirmed.
We are planning for Sydney’s Hills District, including Castle Hill, Dural, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Norwest, Baulkham Hills and Rouse Hill. We have not confirmed availability in any of these suburbs yet.
The proposed fee is for a paid waitlist application and initial assessment. The planned sequence is payment, 14 initial questions and an initial report, followed by 30 detailed questions, a detailed report and consideration of a suitable educator and your requested times. We still need to confirm what is included in the $250 fee, particularly the later detailed assessment, along with delivery and refund terms. The fee would not be deducted from care fees, and paying would not guarantee a place or a start date.
We are considering a shared arrangement for two families who already know each other, such as relatives or friends, with one child from each family. One shared 3.5-hour session a week would be $3,482.50 per month in total, or $1,741.25 each, including GST, across 48 service weeks and 12 equal monthly instalments. This arrangement still needs separate regulatory, safety and commercial review. We would not match families who are strangers.
We need to settle the shared payment terms before offering this arrangement. The proposal is for each family to be responsible for its own fees. If one family could not pay, there would be notice and time to respond. The other family could then choose a single-family arrangement, or reschedule or cancel under the approved terms. They would not automatically become responsible for the other family’s debt.
No. The contact details are fixed examples. All fields and buttons on this review page are disabled. No enquiry is sent or marketing consent recorded. The prototype code does not use analytics, cookies or browser storage.
